Faith in Action Awards
The Catholic Development Council (CDC) is honored to recognize the excellent professional contributions of individuals and organizations in service to God’s church and world. Please read about the categories of awards below and submit your nominations in the form to the right.

The 2024 Faith in Action Awards Luncheon will be held at the Faith & Fundraising Forum on July 31, 2024, in National Harbor, MD (just outside Washington, DC). Registration is now open for this day of community and education, followed by the excellent breakout sessions at the Bridge Conference.
The Caritas Award
The Caritas Award will be presented to an individual …
- who works for a CDC member nonprofit organization, and
- whose extraordinary service has positively impacted countless lives
The life work of the individual selected for this award reflects humility and selflessness in going above and beyond the call of duty in serving the needs of others.

CDC Nonprofit of the Year Award
The CDC Nonprofit of the Year Award will go to a member Catholic nonprofit organization exhibiting strength in many areas, for example:
- Dynamic impact in its mission and ministry
- A fair and equitable workplace for all staff
- Innovative approaches to serving others
- Leadership in advocating for regulatory principles that empower the nonprofit community

CDC Distinguished Service Award
The CDC Distinguished Service Award will be presented to an individual …
- who works for either a member nonprofit organization or a corporate member, and
- whose strong commitment, work ethic, and leadership skills have positively impacted the Catholic community and those it serves for many years.
The individual selected for this award is likely to have served for 20+ years and will be seen as a role model by others in the development profession.

CDC Rising Star Award
The CDC Rising Star Award will be presented to an individual …
- who works for either a member nonprofit organization or a corporate member, and
- whose contributions to the Catholic community and those it serves have made a significant impact in a relatively brief time.
The individual selected for this award will have served in the fundraising field for less than ten years.

Once you have nominated someone, if you know others who would endorse the nominee, please ask them to submit comments of support by sending a confidential email to Abby Graf at agraf@tnpa.org no later than May 1. Hearing from multiple sources helps us better get to know nominees and their impact and increases the likelihood of a nominee receiving a CDC award.
