“We need someone who is focused on our concerns, our issues … how we work and how we relate to our donors and fulfill our missions.” - Steve Abrahamson, Vice President, Membership & Advocacy, National Audubon Society

Policy Issues

The TNPA Government Affairs Committee is comprised of TNPA member organizations, including both nonprofits and allied businesses serving nonprofits.  The Committee considers public policy issues and makes recommendations to TNPA staff on positions or actions.  Final policy dispositions are taken solely upon the majority vote of the committee members representing nonprofit organizations. We advocate for nonprofits not only with legislation but also with other policies that impact nonprofits.
