Angie Moore | Chief Individual Fundraising Officer | CARE

Angie is a senior executive with over 35 years of experience in direct and relationship marketing; 29 of those years have been focused on the nonprofit community. With a proven track record of leadership and marketing success, Angie’s career includes work with some of the top nonprofits in the US. She is currently executive lead for mass and mid-market for CARE, an international relief organization with the largest network of humanitarians in the world.

Angie has led the mass marketing and constituent relationship areas for three nationwide charities. In addition to overseeing these top-class fundraising programs she drove the $1 billion charity, American Cancer Society, through a transition to become constituent-centric. In her current role at CARE, her team works across all consumer channels to grow financial support from donors and prospective donors. She represents CARE in the global CARE International community and was on the forefront of working to pilot a first-time international relief coalition with 7 of the largest INGOs in the country.

Angie is a C-suite consultant in marketing transformation and change management. Her broad experience in fundraising, product, Internet, and publication marketing enables her to help organizations evolve their business models for greater integration and financial impact.

Angie is a thought-leader in the industry and is a frequent speaker at events, author of articles and white papers on the nonprofit industry, and has received recognition for innovation and influence over the years. Earlier in her career, she was named one of the “Top 10 Influential & Effective Fundraisers” (2009), named “The Relationship Builder” and one of “8 Vanguards in Marketing” (corporate and nonprofit) setting the trends for the future (2006), and one of the “Top Ten Fundraisers Under the Age of 40″  (2005). Most recently, she was the recipient of the 2021 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award, presented annually by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Nonprofit Federation for outstanding career accomplishments by a fundraising professional.

Angie was a founding member of The Nonprofit Alliance and served on the host committee of the inaugural Leadership Summit in 2019. She regularly steps up to serve on ad hoc task forces to address timely challenges facing the nonprofit sector.

Barron Segar | President & Chief Executive Officer | World Food Program USA

Barron is the President and Chief Executive Officer of World Food Program USA, the nonprofit charged with inspiring and mobilizing people in the United States to support the U.N. World Food Programme’s mission to save and protect the world’s most vulnerable lives against hunger. He has more than 25 years of experience growing philanthropic and cause marketing platforms for organizations spanning global humanitarian aid, public broadcasting, and finance. Under his leadership, World Food Program USA quadrupled its revenue in less than three years and has earned exceptional ratings from multiple trusted agencies for its financial health, accountability and transparency.

A leading voice on global food security, Barron has been featured in major media outlets, including Bloomberg TV, NBC News Now, CNN, MSNBC, Forbes, The Hill, The Guardian, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and at events hosted by the Reuters, Devex, Axios, World Affairs Councils of America, and the Global Philanthropy Forum. He has led visits to field operations in multiple countries, including Lebanon, Liberia, Ethiopia, Nepal, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the Polish border of Ukraine, to shine a light on the lifesaving work of the U.N. World Food Programme.

Prior to World Food Program USA, Barron served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at UNICEF USA, with organization-wide responsibility for strategy, budget, and critical operational priorities. He led the strategic direction of the Development Division and all regional offices, raising $500 million in annual revenue. Previously, Barron served as the Director of Development for Georgia Public Broadcasting, where he and his team were nationally recognized for record-breaking fundraising performance. Barron also has experience in the private sector working in financial services.

For the past three years, The NonProfit Times has recognized Barron on its Power & Influence Top 50 list for leadership centered on innovation, broad sector influence, and developing replicable organizational models. Barron is a Founding Board Member of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, serving over 30 years on the National Board of Directors. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for Open Hand Atlanta.

Barron was nominated to The Nonprofit Alliance board of directors in April 2024 to fill a mid-term vacancy.

Voting for the slate of 2024 nominees, including both new and renewing directors, is open through October 24, 2024. Terms will begin on January 1, 2025.
