Our chief effort is to develop the missionary spirit of the laity. Trinity Missions has 37 missions serving the parishes of inner-city neighborhoods and isolated rural areas in seven different countries: the United States, Mexico, Haiti, Colombia, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico. We visit the sick and elderly, and we feed the poor and homeless. Our priests and Brothers work in prisons, hospitals, and other institutions where people feel abandoned and alone. Wherever we are, whatever we are doing, we share a common goal: to preach the love of God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities and Duties
The Development Intern reports to the Manager of Communications and will gain insight and develop skills in fundraising processes and practices, donor relations, and database upkeep, as well as strengthening writing and editing skills for internal and external audiences.
The intern will especially play a critical role in the Communications and Marketing department.
This position includes conducting research, drafting, and designing blog posts, social media postings and timelines for the production of said posts as they relate to events, projects, and stewardship.
The intern will also be tasked with the calling, writing and distribution of thank you notes/emails, data entry, filing, and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Currently pursuing an academic degree or course of study/training. Experience is not required as the intern will learn on the job. Must have strong organizational skills as well as written and oral communication skills. Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently with clear instructions provided and within a team environment. Familiar with Catholic teachings and practices preferred but must at least be open to learning about the Catholic faith in order to represent the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Google products. Ability to speak and write Spanish is a plus.
Preferred Majors: Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Data Science and Analytics, English, or related field
Preferred Degrees: Associates, Bachelor’s, Master’s
College Level: Sophomore, Junior, Senior
