Meet the Summer 2025 Leading EDGE Interns!
After receiving hundreds of student applications, we are so excited to introduce you to Cohort #4 of The Nonprofit Alliance Foundation’s (TNPAF) Leading EDGE Student Internship Program! These amazing students will spend the next ten weeks interning with their host employers and engaging in professional development through Leading EDGE.

Tsion Amare
Internship Host | Eidolon Communications
Tsion Amare graduated from Montgomery College with an Associate of Arts in Business and has experience as a junior data analyst. Tsion’s background in day trading and technical analysis helps to identify patterns and translate insights into actionable recommendations. This summer, Tsion will be interning with Eidolon Communications as a data analyst to help support data-driven decision-making through analytics and visualization. Tsion shares, “I’m a fast learner who’s passionate about turning data into impactful decisions.”

Jazmin Calimano Colon
Internship Host | Engaging Networks
Jazmín Calimano Colón is a master’s student in Civic Analytics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. This summer, she will be joining Engaging Networks as a Sales and Operations Intern, where she will combine her interests in data, technology, and the nonprofit sector to support organizations engaged in meaningful work. In her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, and spending time outdoors.

Angela Fokam
Internship Host | Moore
Angela Fokam is a rising Junior double majoring in Communications and Social Data Science at the University of Maryland – College Park. As an intern at Moore this summer, she is focusing on working with the Digital team to apply her skills in analytics and data. Angela is passionate in using collaboration and management to develop businesses. In her spare time, Angela enjoys giving back to underserved communities, editing videos, and cooking.

Owen Herrera
Internship Host | TrueSense Marketing
Owen is a graduate student at Stevens Institute of Technology where he will be graduating with an MBA in Business Intelligence and Analytics. He will be working as a remote Project Manager Intern at TrueSense Marketing this summer, hoping to understand more about nonprofit agencies and meet industry professionals. He is looking forward to applying his knowledge to his work and continuing to contribute to his community.

Ella Herrera
Internship Host | Shatterproof
Ella Herrera is a rising sophomore at Pratt Institute majoring in 2D Animation. She will be interning at Shatterproof as a Social Media Intern. She is interested in merging both of her interests of nonprofits and art into social media. She’s looking forward to learning about nonprofits and applying her skills in a professional setting.

Ava Jutras
Internship Host | Defenders of Wildlife
Ava Jutras is a rising junior at American University, majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Graphic Design. This summer, she will serve as a Marketing Intern with Defenders of Wildlife. Ava is passionate about environmental advocacy, species and habitat conservation, and using creative communication to inspire action. She’s especially excited to combine her design skills and love for the outdoors to help amplify the organization’s mission. In her free time, Ava enjoys hiking, yoga, sewing, and swimming.

Camille Koslo
Internship Host | TrueSense Marketing
Camille Koslo is a rising senior at George Mason University pursuing a BA in Graphic Design. She’s passionate about how art and design shape the way we connect with the world and is always looking for meaningful ways to communicate with others through her work. While design is at the center of what she loves, her time in the TNPA Leading Edge Internship Program last year opened her eyes to the nonprofit space, and she’s been curious to learn more ever since. Camille is grateful for the chance to keep growing through the Leading Edge program and her current internship at TrueSense Marketing, where she’s excited to build on her skills and explore the many ways design can make an impact.

Danfei Li
Internship Host | K2D Strategies
Danfei Li is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Marketing Analytics at the University of Maryland. Originally from China, Danfei brings a diverse background in product marketing, digital marketing, and content creation with experience spanning consumer electronics and sportswear brands. Danfei volunteered for environmental protection initiatives in New Zealand and loves collaborating with NGOs with a passion for making an impact. Outside of work, Danfei enjoys training at the gym, playing badminton, and exploring hiking trails. Danfei is also passionate about photography and has a soft spot for dogs.

Zaira Matin
Internship Host | Moore
Zaira Matin is an undergraduate student at Montgomery College pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Digital Media and Web Technology. She plans to transfer to the University of Maryland to major in Information Science. With experience in event coordination, customer service, and team collaboration, Zaira has developed strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. She is passionate about using technology to drive social change and community development. This summer, Zaira hopes to strengthen her foundation in UX design and web development while contributing to meaningful, impact-driven projects through her Digital Media internship with Moore.

Jillian McGeehin
Internship Host | Shatterproof
Jillian McGeehin is a rising third-year student at the University of Chicago studying sociology with a double minor in Mandarin Chinese and religious studies. During the past academic year, she worked as the corporate partners intern at Make-A-Wish Illinois, where she primarily worked on partner prospecting and CRM campaigns. This summer, she will continue to develop the skills and experiences she gained at Make-A-Wish Illinois at Shatterproof as their corporate partners intern. In her free time, she enjoys serving on the board of the Rural Student Association at UChicago and attending dance classes of all different varieties.

Vivian Nartey
Internship Host | Concord Direct
Vivian Nartey is a rising Senior at Manhattan University. She studies Communications with a concentration in Sports Media production and has a minor in Psychology. She is involved in a variety of clubs on campus, including Black Student Union and Mock Trial. Additionally, Vivian is a brand ambassador for Truth Initiative, one of the largest nonprofit public health organizations in the country. This summer, she is eager to join Concord Direct as an intern and learn more about the nonprofit sector through their creative and strategic services departments.

Hannah Schwartzberg
Internship Host | Defenders of Wildlife
Hannah Schwartzberg is a rising senior at American University with a double major in Environmental Studies and Public Relations & Strategic Communications. She is passionate about using communication tactics to educate and advance environmental initiatives. This summer, she will be interning with Defenders of Wildlife as a Communications Intern and is excited to contribute to the nonprofit sector.

Alice Smith
Internship Host | TrueSense Marketing
Alice Smith is a rising senior at George Washington University, majoring in English and Creative Writing. She is passionate about using storytelling to support mission-driven work and is drawn to nonprofits that create meaningful community impact. As a copywriting intern at TrueSense Marketing, she is excited to develop her writing skills further and deepen her understanding of how strategic communication can advance nonprofit goals.

Leahnata Tejan
Internship Host | Moore
Leah Tejan is a rising junior at Towson University majoring in Marketing with a minor in Finance. Leah is passionate about creative design, public relations, and helping emerging brands and organizations grow their presence. On campus, Leah serves as a Resident Assistant, the Community Service Chair for the African Diaspora Club, and a Student Worker in the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices. Outside of academics, Leah enjoys content creation, painting, and exploring the field of cosmetology. With experience in analytics and data collection, Leah has supported several companies in their marketing departments. This summer, Leah is excited to join Moore as a Digital Marketing Intern and looks forward to learning more about the nonprofit sector and expanding her professional network.
