The Nonprofit Alliance Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of The Nonprofit Alliance, providing educational programming, research, and public education and awareness outreach to support the success of nonprofit organizations and the broader nonprofit community. Our activities include:
- Building stronger coalitions with aligned organizations to strengthen our collective voice
- Amplifying current events to educate our members and the broader sector on policy changes that inhibit nonprofit operations
- Sharing balanced, pragmatic guidance to help the sector navigate complex issues while staying focused on core missions
- Strengthening the nonprofit workforce through innovative educational opportunities, year-round enrichment programs, and professional development offerings designed to build current and future leadership capacity
- Developing a talent pipeline for the nonprofit sector, from college interns through senior executives
- Promoting the nonprofit sector through media outreach, public awareness campaigns, research, and other similar efforts
- Working with and supporting the work of The Nonprofit Alliance as a coordinating body for other charitable organization

Our Staff and Board
Staff » Staff are shared between The Nonprofit Alliance and The Nonprofit Alliance Foundation, with varying portions of their time spent on each depending on their roles and the current priorities of the organization.
Board of Directors » The Foundation’s board is comprised entirely of professionals working for nonprofit organizations. In compliance with our bylaws and IRS stipulations, our board includes both members of The Nonprofit Alliance board and directors serving only on the Foundation board. The officers of the Foundation board, including the Chair, Vice Chair, and Treasurer, also serve on the combined TNPA-TNPA Foundation Executive Committee. The Foundation board elects its directors, subject to approval by The Nonprofit Alliance board of directors, who, in turn, are elected by the TNPA membership.
