Bio:
I am Ndzerem Stephen Njodzeka from Bui Division, in the North West Region of Cameroon. I enrolled in the University of Yaoundé where I received my first degree in private law. I then became a tutor in College de La Salle in the East Region of Cameroon. In 1992, I created a company known as Hillman Company, which supplied books to schools, breweries, and food. I then went further and created a charity attached to the company known as Hill-man charity. For a period of 5 years, a portion of the profits from the company was used for the activities of Hill-man Charity, helping to sponsor disadvantaged and vulnerable children, who very often had been pushed to premature adulthood.
In 1997 the charity name was changed from Hill-man Humanitarian Services to Strategic Humanitarian Services (SHUMAS). Since then, I have been the Director of Strategic Humanitarian Services where I led the organization to realize more than 5,000 projects impacting more than 10 million lives in and out of Cameroon.
While working as the Director of SHUMAS, I obtained several certificates in sustainable development, strategic planning, sustainable environmental management, sustainable agriculture, and leadership from schools such as the University of Colorado, the University of Illinois, and California-Berkeley College of Natural Resources. I also received several awards from within and outside of Cameroon.
Aside from my professional life, I have also occupied other social posts of responsibility in the country. I worked for seven years as the president of Nso Village Development and Cultural Association in Cameroon. I also represent the Civil Society Organizations as a member of the reconstruction plan committee for the North West region of Cameroon and a member of the committee cooperation between the people of NW and the people of Philadelphia.
